Her Majesty’s Apology is one of those rare places that instantly makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. Steeped in history and surrounded by wide-open Free State landscapes, the farmhouse feels like stepping back into a gentler, simpler time.
The house itself is comfortable and well equipped for self-catering — everything you could possibly need for a relaxed stay. It easily accommodates a large group while still feeling warm and homely.
What made our weekend so special was the feeling of escape. Long walks, beautiful rides, quiet mornings, open space, and fresh country air — it’s the perfect place to disconnect from busy life and reconnect with the people around you.

Just spent a weekend at Her Majesty’s Apology with a group of mountain bikers. Did some stunning rides and wonderful to return to the comfy and cozy farm house that has so much history and ambiance. Ideal place to get away with family and friends to relax, highly recommend it.
